The 2nd Annual Mississippi River Adventure Day was held on Monday, July 20, 2009. The weather was spectacular for this year's event, with highs in the upper 70's and clear skies throughout the day.

Dave Solie and a camera crew from WXOW in LaCrosse, WI spent the day at this year's festival and featured the Friends of Pool 9 and the event in two of their evening broadcast segments. WXOW was also kind enough to share the video with several of their affiliates, including KWWL in Waterloo.
